As we all know, there was a terrorist attack at Manchester Arena last night at the end of an Ariana Grande concert.
At approximately 22:30, a suicide bomber detonated a nail bomb, injuring dozens and at the time of writing this, killing twenty-two innocent people; some of whom were just children. Islamic State have taken responsibility for this attack. I was going to refer to this as a cowardly attack, but when isn’t detonating a bomb as part of a calculated attack against hundreds or thousands of people not cowardly?
You may or may not have heard about a little thing called the EU referendum. It’s no biggy; just a decision that will shape the future for us and for our children. Unless you’ve been living under a rock or in case you have been living under a rock and didn’t get to read Mother of Delightfully Horrid Boys‘ article a few days ago, you’ll know that is the one of the biggest decisions we’ll ever make. I’m just a normal mother, wife, woman and worker. I finished school at sixth form and flirted with Uni but ended up going straight into employment. I consider myself –not stupid. I have two beautifully wonderful and at times equally horrid boys whom I love more than life itself. And the decision I make at the referendum is scaring the shit out of me. I don’t watch Britain’s Got Talent or X Factor for several reasons; the main one being that I don’t think new talent can be discovered by a panel which includes actors and comedians, who have no real experience and certainly no relevant qualifications to make them suitable judges. Yesterday, in Woolwich, south east London, someone was viciously and brutally murdered in a busy street, in the middle of the afternoon. It’s being called a “terrorist attack”.
How is it that even in this day and age, there’s still opposition to the right for a gay couple to be legally married?
Home secretary, Theresa May, recently announced proposals for tougher sentencing on those who take the life of a police officer. She wants to see these people face a life sentence because such crimes are an attack on the “fundamental basis of our society“. I don’t think I’m the only person to find these proposals slightly strange. continue reading
A woman in Solihull has committed suicide and blamed the government in her suicide note. So far, the ConDems have been blamed for the economy and the weather, so it was only a matter of time before they were accused of killing somebody.
